fabulous, informative, metaphorical.
Fabulous means: You get to know the Ramayana in sweet, short but essential episodes.
Informative means: You get to know about the rites and cults of a Hindu family with Gowinda’s folks.
Metaphorical means: You will find the bhava, the deep state, of the characters. When reading about the women Gowinda loves, you will find in them the bhava of being a woman. Sita, the divine woman is in the innermost state of all women. You will understand, how the demonic force cannot grasp the bhava of ‘womaness’.
One of my many favourite dialog page 124 is:
‘Paati, in America there are many invisible demons!’
‘Then they have to be made visible! How else can people destroy them?’
I felt uneasy about the future when people can’t differentiate between gods and demons. In their confusion, they will be powerless and at the mercy of fate.
